Blake om att se Gud - eller bara sig själv
Mitt bloggpausande tycks få lov att ta en paus... ;-)
För läs det här!
Apropå en het diskussion...

"He who sees the Infinite in all things, sees God. He who sees the Portions only, (Scriptures, Theology, Interpretive Explanations) sees himself only. Therefore God becomes as we are, that we may be as he is.
Seeing the Infinite in all things - people and objects - is seeing God. However, limiting our insight to that of religious creeds, dogmas and interpretative meanings, and those words of men, literalizing their Scriptures as the "Inerrant Word of God," is to see our limited selves only, to reduce the Infinite within the compounds of human perception."
WILLIAM BLAKE - (1757-1827)

Great quote, and one of my personal favorites.
The problem is no one is able to see very much beyond themselves. Not you, not me, not anyone. We see only ourselves because we are humans and no humans are flawless. And all of us try to come up with interpretive explanations - even you, Charlotte (and your friend John=)
But it's a good thing to try to be as Christlike as we can and not get stuck in doctrine only!
Best Wishes
In Christ
From John:
"Yes, Heidi,
Are these not wonderful insights by William Blake;
inspired by the Spirit,
and opening one's mind and eyes to the Glory of our God.
It forms part of his profound poems and wonderful mystical piantings.
Blessings and love in Christ
+John (monk)"
