Men nej...!!

"Oh, that God's people would hunger and thirst after His Spirit."

Må vi be om ett överflöd av den helige Ande över ALLA. Just det "sticker ut" som i relief i den följande texten. Det gäller ALLA.... Och det är inte bara lite grädde på moset, utan hör till det väsentliga...

"This was a dream vision. I thought a friend and I were going somewhere. We were by the water and I thought we had to go a long way around as there was no bridge across the water. I told My friend to pull over by the water, and we got out of the car.

As we were looking across the water, the most beautiful white dove I had ever seen flew from the other side. I had never seen one as large, and as I said to my friend, "Oh, look how beautiful the dove is." As it flew up to me.

"What dove?" she asked.

"Oh, can't you see it?" I said. "It is right here." The beauty of the dove was almost unbelievable and I could not understand how she could not see it, but she couldn't.

I was full of joy as I heard, "When the bridge is finished, it won't be far to go." I know the beautiful dove is a symbol of the Holy Spirit. I believe the meaning is that when the Spirit (the bridge to God) has been poured on all flesh, as the Bible tells us, we will be in the last days. Then, it truly won't be far to go to God. The end will be near. But first the churches and people must accept the Spirit as God is now giving to those who are obedient, and ask. If people would just believe the following from His Word, they would see it means All...

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my Spirit. (Joel 2:28-2)

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord God shall call. (Acts 2:38-39)

But this could be said about many now, as it was in former times....

Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. ( Acts 7:51)

Oh, that God's people would hunger and thirst after His Spirit. We read in His Word,.....if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his."

Texten, och flera texter, finns här.

Indeed. But what exactly does it entail. Here is one view of what it means to be a Christian. I am sure you are familiar with this Holy man.

"However prayer, fasting, vigil and all the other Christian practices may be, they do not constitute the aim of our Christian life. Although it is true that they serve as the indispensable means of reaching this end, the true aim of our Christian life consists of the acquisition of the Holy Spirit of God.As for fasts, and vigils, and prayer, and almsgiving, and every good deed done for Christ's sake, are the only means of acquiring the Holy Spirit of God. Mark my words, only good deeds done for Christ's sake brings us the fruits of the Holy Spirit. All that is not done for Christ's sake, even though it be good, brings neither reward in the future life nor the grace of God in this life. That is why our Lord Jesus Christ said: "He who does not gather with Me scatters" (Luke 11:23). Not that a good deed can be called anything but gathering, even though a deed is not done for Christ's sake, it is still considered good. The Scriptures say: "In every nation he who fears God and does what is right is acceptable to Him" (Acts 10:35). St. Seraphim of Sarov

Sa Hur, var, och pa vilket satt kyrkan anser att man kan bli lyft av den Helige Anden verkar vara fragan, snarare an om vi vill ha den Helige Anden.

Vad om idagens lage, "At the present time," the elder replied, "Owing to our almost universal coldness to our holy faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, and our inattention to the working of His Divine Providence in us, and to the communion of man with God, we have gone so far that, one may say, we have almost abandoned the true Christian life. The testimonies of Holy Scripture now seem strange to us; when, for instance, by the lips of Moses the Holy Spirit says: "And Adam saw the Lord walking in Paradise" (cf. Gen. 3:10), or when we read the words of the Apostle Paul: "We went to Achaia, and the Spirit of God went not with us; we returned to Macedonia, and the Spirit of God came with us." More than once in other passages of Holy Scripture the appearance of God to men is mentioned."

Sa kampen gar vidare....
